meet yunchi
THE DESIGNER
YunChi was born and raised in Taiwan- a hometown that nourishes freedom, curiosity and passion. After she earned her bachelor’s degree in Architecture from SCU in Taiwan, she moved to NYC for a master’s degree in Sustainable Interior Design in NYSID. As a professional who was trained under both subjects and has years of practice, YunChi created a strong portfolio by excelling at both space planning and interior furnishing. After 10 years of hard work in the industry, YunChi founded Chief Design LLC in 2021.
Outside of the office, YunChi is a community leader, organizer, dancer and ‘feminist-in-progress’. Her mind for design shines across various fields and projects- from designing a book cover to the staging of a play (which she also once directed!). Nothing makes YunChi happier than when she discovers a new area where her creativity can be unleashed!
OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
We believe space can shape our everyday life - it has tremendous power. From a poetic point of view, our space reminds us who we are, where we came from and what matters the most to us; from a practical perspective, our space allows us to learn, to work, to grow and to rest…and this is what Chief Design wants to respond to.
